There are times when companies need to be closed. How they are closed are key to where any surplus funds end up. This is important as you could be in for a large windfall if your company has a debtors book that will pay up eventually or you have assets that are taking time to sell.
Be very careful if an advisor pushes you into deciding to liquidate as there may be ways to save your business and all the aggravation that a liquidation might entail.
Also there are a few Insolvency Practitioners that sign up clients for a liquidation when there is a winding up petition in place. Do not pay a fee unless the Petitioning Creditor has consented to the liquidation or you may have wasted the fee.

A sensible victim of the fire would appoint their own person, called a loss assessor to deal directly with the Loss adjuster that is on the side of the Insurance company. It’s just common sense.
